SOLIDWORKS Composer is a standalone addition to the SOLIDWORKS suite of software that lets you create graphical technical documentation alongside the design process in SOLIDWORKS and its various ancillary software. Through the use of various tools, technical documentation comes to life in a few short mouse clicks. The SOLIDWORKS Composer Digger Tool is typically used to highlight a smaller section of a larger, grander assembly brought into the software.
If you plan to move your SOLIDWORKS Composer license to a different machine, you must deactivate it. It is also best practice to deactivate Composer—and any other SOLIDWORKS products—prior to major changes to your computer like replacing the hard drive.
This guide will highlight the ability in SOLIDWORKS Composer to edit Camera Views while maintaining the orientation of assemblies and components within the view in your final product. This could include adding 2D text, a Path, a Label, or a Callout to an already-established Camera View that has been tirelessly fine-tuned to display your product in your technical documentation.
There are some great new quality and performance enhancements to SOLIDWORKS Visualize 2025. First, Visualize Boost now offers a more user-friendly interface that allows you to use multiple machines for your rendering tasks. With greater stability and machine discovery that has been made easier, you will now be able to set up an impressive rendering farm in no time at all.
Whether you're using drawings or Model Based Definition, SOLIDWORKS 2025 can help you document your designs faster than ever.
This blog explains the steps of creating a jack-o-lantern design using SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS Visualize from one of GoEngineer's own SOLIDWORKS Experts.
As the engineering and design fields evolve, so do the tools and technologies that support them. In our recent webinar, we joined experts from Dell and NVIDIA to discuss the newest advancements in hardware and software that could significantly impact your work.
In SOLIDWORKS Visualize Professional, a sunlight environment can be used to stage a model under a realistic sky using light from the sun. In this tutorial, we’ll cover how to create a sunlight environment and review some parameters for dialing it in.
Color is a crucial element in visual media as it influences how viewers perceive the final product. Understanding the components of color and how you can control these within SOLIDWORKS Visualize will improve your renders. While color theory can be a deep topic, we will stick with the basics and how they can be applied to Visualize projects.
