3D Scanning Nov 05, 2024

Automated scanning can be a great benefit to inspection and reverse engineering workflows. The less operator intervention required to complete a proper scan, the better. The Artec Micro II is an accurate, automated, turntable-style scanner, and Artec Studio 18 software pairs brilliantly with it.

Artec 3D has done it again. On the heels of the new and improved Artec Spider II comes the Artec Point - their first handheld blue laser scanner.

3D Scanning Oct 02, 2024

Artec 3D recently announced the Spider II, a new target-free handheld 3D scanner capable of capturing intricate details in ultra-high resolution and full color. From small objects to large industrial parts, the Spider II produces impressive results, offering twice the resolution, 4x the speed, and smarter algorithms than its predecessor.

3D Printing Aug 07, 2024

Stratasys FDM 3D printers provide exceptional design freedom and flexibility regarding materials, build volumes, slice heights, and even soluble support materials when dealing with complex internal channels.  However, it's important to consider the relationship between slice height and fine features. Depending on the nozzle diameter and available slice heights, certain wall thicknesses can be difficult (or impossible) to print reliably. To combat this, we need to understand the limitations of our machines and use that information when designing parts to print.
