Article by Erica Manzella on Apr 17, 2025

The GoEngineer Team has been busy this quarter, attending the top engineering and technology events in the country. From Houston for 3DEXPERIENCE World to RAPID + TCT in Detroit. Let us fill you in on the latest updates and hot topics from the conference center floor.

3DEXPERIENCE World

SOLIDWORKS Turns 30 & Meet Your New AI Design Assistant

3DEXPERIENCE World Customer Playground

3DEXPERIENCE® represents the largest SOLIDWORKS and Dassault Systemès event of the year. This year’s event in Houston, Texas was a celebration of the SOLIDWORKS legacy and future. Highlights included:

  • SOLIDWORKS turns 30! Celebrating this milestone had designers reflecting on the impact of the original 1995 release and the momentous progress the tool and industry have seen since.
  • Aura, the SOLIDWORKS AI design assistant was demoed by SOLIDWORKS CEO, Manish Kumar, on the main stage. Aura is programmed with SOLIDWORKS best practices and designed to learn about your behavior to accelerate your design workflow.
  • Explore designs on the Apple Vision Pro with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and HomeByMe.
  • SOLIDWORKS SkillForce. A new program will provide free SOLIDWORKS commercial licenses to students for the duration of their internships and placements.

Learn more about these highlights and more in our full 3DEXPERIENCE World 2025 recap

RAPID + TCT

Additive Manufacturing Reaches New Heights

For over 30 years, RAPID + TCT has been pivotal in advancing 3D printing as North America’s largest additive manufacturing conference. Organized by SME and Rapid News Publications, this year’s event was held in Detroit, Michigan from April 8-10.

The GoEngineer team was thrilled to visit with customers in the industry and explore the latest releases from our partners.

Stratasys

Stratasys made a splash at RAPID + TCT with new SLA and PolyJet launches, and the eye-catching CALLUM SKYE, a multi-terrain electric vehicle that serves as a case study for the Stratasys additive-enabled workflows spanning design, tooling, and part fabrication.

Formlabs

Formlabs was onsite demoing their impressive resin lineup and the strength of Form 4 parts. A highlight of the conference was a timed competition to drive three nails into a pallet with a resin hammer. The challenge: beat Joel Telling’s (aka YouTube’s 3D Printing Nerd) time of nine seconds.

Bright Laser Technologies (BLT)

GoEngineer was honored to join the BLT booth as a partner this year. After being amazed by the parts on display in the BLT booth at the 2024 conference, we endeavored on a yearlong journey to explore the technology further, eventually becoming BLT’s offical North American reseller. The excitement for BLT’s technology can’t be overstated. The accuracy, metal material range, and proven applications of these parts are impressive - from parts stretching 400 mm tall to miniature parts printed in exquisite detail. Explore the full BLT Metal 3D Printer lineup.

MBSE Cyber Systems Symposium 2025

Shaping the Future of a Changing World

At the 2025 MBSE Cyber Systems Symposium, speakers underscored the transformative power of MBSE in various sectors. This year's gathering revolved around the theme 'MBSE - Shaping the Future of a Changing World,' a call to action that resonated deeply with the CTOs, CIOs, systems engineers, and project managers in attendance. Sessions were delivered on seven core topics:

  1. Industry Solutions
  2. MBSE Transformation and Model Management
  3. Architecture and Process
  4. 3DS-CATIA Magic Solutions
  5. Safety, Security, and Reliability
  6. SysML V2 and UAF
  7. MBSE Deep Dive Workshops

COExperience

The Dassault Systèmes Community of Experts Gathering

COExperience 2025 in Reno, Nevada, was a resounding success, bringing together hundreds of Dassault Systèmes users and industry leaders for an unparalleled exchange of ideas and innovation. Attendees were immersed in educational sessions and 5 major hot topics arose:

  • AI: Artificial Intelligence
  • Digital Continuity
  • Digital Asset Management
  • Green Energy Solutions
  • Work from Work

Dassault Systèmes also launched new certification programs for CATIA, CATIA Magic, 3DEXPERIENCE, SIMULIA, and DELMIA.

During the Top Gun Competition, participants have 25 minutes to accurately model a part in 3DEXPERIENCE - the fastest time wins! A special shoutout goes to Sam Eshelman, who generously gifted his second-place Top Gun contest prize — an office suite package that includes a Logitech gaming keyboard, a performance mouse, and a Plantronics Voyager 5200 (Poly) headset — to fellow attendee Jose Herrera. Jose is a student from Wichita, KS who was unable to claim a raffle prize of a $1K Amazon gift card while he was competing in Top Gun.

AMUG

The Largest Additive Manufacturing User Group

Ask any Additive die-hard about their favorite event of the year and you’re likely to hear a glowing review of AMUG. For users by users, this event is a welcoming place to grow your AM network and learn about the latest technology advancements. This year, GoEngineer held their crowd-favorite session “Snap Crackle Pop” a hands-on workshop comparing popular materials under high- temp and stress scenarios, and Tyler Reid, GoEngineer’s Technical VP of Digital Manufacturing, took to the main stage with other additive leaders to discuss emerging AM trends and exciting technology advancements.
