It's been a couple years since Mark adopted CST Studio Suite. We reached out to him to get his thoughts on his experience deeply integrating simulation into the design process:
GoEngineer: There is a lot at stake when adopting new product development tools – these are high-impact choices for the business. How did you make sure you were on the right path?
Mark: I have had experience with CST Studio Suite and many of the other similar simulation tools in the electromagnetics space. I felt that CST Studio Suite and the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform had the most to offer and would be the easiest with integrating into our workflow and improving it.
You ultimately decided to go above and beyond the standard with your use of simulation. How did GoEngineer’s simulation team help you achieve your goals?
When first starting out with CST Studio Suite, I had many hours of support from GoEngineer's team with my initial designs. They helped me understand the software, gave me tips and tricks, and went above and beyond to aid me in my work. It was the largest reason why I have stuck with the software and continue to use it today.
How is your simulation journey going? What excites you the most about the simulation you’re doing?
It is going great. I feel that the possibilities of what I can create and provide for our designs are endless. The software allows me to focus on the engineering and design instead of worrying about the software and working around it. So far, everything I have designed through CST has been very close to the real-life performance, and the tool has become a vital part of our development cycle.
Any words of advice for companies looking into simulation right now?
Use GoEngineer's resources to aid in the growth of simulation design in your company. They are great at answering all sorts of questions and aiding in your current designs and struggles with simulations. It made a big difference for me.
