SOLIDWORKS Plastics 2025 has new features and enhancements to help design your plastic parts with confidence. Key enhancements include improved performance in the fill analysis, more accurate sink mark predictions, more result plots for the warpage analysis, and continued material database updates.
When working on a new plastic part, design time is always critical. The enhancements in the fill analysis will speed up this analysis process.
The fill analysis solver is now 25% faster when using fiber-filled materials.
Rendering of the fill time animations in the isosurface mode has been accelerated up to 75% for large models with a high number of elements. This is done by increasing the memory that SOLIDWORKS Plastics uses to generate the animations.
Sink Mark Predictions
Sink marks are always a concern when designing plastic parts. The sink mark prediction plots for SOLIDWORKS 2025 have great new enhancements.
A new solver improves the accuracy of the sink mark prediction.
The sink mark at the end of the fill plot better represents the areas where sink marks will occur.
The new sink marks ejection plot in the pack results gives a more accurate prediction of the sink marks and will also show the effect of added packing time and pressures.
Injection molded parts continue to shrink during cooling of the part after it's ejected from the mold.
Non-uniform shrinkage, differential cooling, and molecular or fiber orientation will lead to warpage.
The new results plot in SOLIDWORKS Plastics Premium warp analysis will help you better understand the cause of warpage in your plastic part designs.
The SOLIDWORKS Plastics development team continues to build the material database.
With 365 new material grades, updates to 142 materials, and the removal of 370 obsolete materials, SOLIDWORKS Plastics 2025 ensures that you have access to the latest material properties.
SOLIDWORKS Plastics 2025 continues to advance the technology and plastic injection molding simulations with new analysis solver improvements, enhanced result plots, and an expanded materials database. You can validate and be confident in the manufacturability of your plastic part designs.
