The Introduction to Isight course will introduce you to Isight, a Process Integration and Design Optimization (PIDO) software framework.

DESCRIPTION:  The Introduction to Isight course will introduce you to Isight, a Process Integration and Design Optimization (PIDO) software framework. You will learn about the Design and Runtime Gateways along with several fundamental components and be shown the ways a simulation process workflow can be built, and the design space explored.

Introduction

  • A high level overview of what Isight is and how it can be used in product development.
  • Isight Process and Application Components will be introduced in the context of a Sim-Flow.

Lesson 2: 
Isight Overview

  • Learn how to interface with Isight in the Design and Runtime Gateways.
  • See and explore a simple Isight Sim-flow.

Lesson 3: 
Design of Experiments

  • Learn about the Design of Experiment Process Component and how to configure this component as a Design Driver.

Lesson 4: 
Optimization

  • Learn about the Optimization Process Component and how to configure this component as a Design Driver.

Lesson 5: 
Monte Carlo and Six Sigma

  • Learn about the Monte Carlo Simulation and Six Sigma Process Components and how to configure these components as Design Drivers.

Lesson 6: 
Approximations

  • Learn how to create and utilize Approximation in Isight, including how to verify accuracy and visualize the design space.

Lesson 7: 
Isight Components (Part 1)

  • Learn more about how to formulate Application Components within a Sim-flow.
  • Including the SimCode, Calculator, and Excel components.
  • Learn how to create parallel and conditional Sim-flows.

Lesson 8: 
File Handling

  • Learn about file handling and execution in Isight and how to modify the default file handling settings when needed.

Lesson 9: 
Isight Components (Part 2)

  • Learn about more advanced Application Components including the Abaqus and Data Matching Components.
