DESCRIPTION: In our CST Studio Suite Antenna Placement course, you will gain knowledge on subjects such as the positioning of antennas and the interaction between antennas. Additionally, the course covers configuring antenna matching networks and understanding radiation hazards. Special emphasis will be on learning the creation and application of near/far-field sources. This will occur within the framework of the Hybrid Solver Task.

Solver Overview
- Solvers used for antenna placement
- Integral equation solver
- Asymptotic Solver
- Theoretical background on I-Solver & A-Solver for different solver methods
Lesson 3:
CAD Import
- Overview of different CAD import handling
- What to do if import quality is bad
Lesson 4:
Surface Mesh
- Overview of different meshing techniques for different solvers
- How to locally refine mesh for particular parts of the model
- Differences between thin and thick metals
- Possibility to model thick metals as thin sheets
Lesson 5:
System Assembly and Modeling
- How to setup a System Assembly Modeling (SAM) by anchoring different model blocks to the main platform
- Examples showcasing how to fix different blocks on the platform
Lesson 6:
Hybrid Solver
- Setting up a Hybrid Simulation (HS) for a model consisting of various sized blocks using different solvers
- How to setup nearfield and farfield sources
- Uni-directional and bi-directional coupling approaches
- Appropriate scenario's for these approaches
- Supported solvers for nearfield and farfield sources
