DESCRIPTION:  This course will teach you about CATIA V5. You will learn how to build simple parts and assemblies in CATIA, and how to make simple drawings of those parts and assemblies.

Introduction to CATIA

  • Learn to open CATIA and learn about the key features of CATIA

Lesson 2: 
Creating Profiles

  • Create sketch geometry and constrain it as well as create base feature

Lesson 3: 
Creating Basic Features

  • Create simple pads and pockets from 2D sketch and holes

Lesson 4: 
Creating Additional Part Features

  • Create additional CATIA features as well as revolved and hollow models

Lesson 5: 
Creating Dress-up Features

  • Learn about drafts and stiffeners, learn to create threads and taps, and edit features

Lesson 6: 
Reusing the Data

  • Reuse existing data instead of creating new features as well as duplicating with copy and pastes

Lesson 7: 
Finalizing the Design Intent

  • Apply material properties and create formulas

Lesson 8: 
Working with Assembly Design

  • Create an assembly of existing components and fully constrain them

Lesson 9: 
Designing in Context

  • Learn how to create contextual parts driven by the skeleton method

Lesson 10: 
Creating Drawings (ANSI)

  • Learn how to create the drawing of parts

Lesson 11: 
Master Exercise: Drill Press Assembly

  • Create a part, finalize it, create an assembly, and create the drawing.
