DESCRIPTION:  In this course students will learn how to produce composites manufacturing information from CATIA models containing OEM information added with the Composite CPD and CPM workbenches. CATIA Fiber Modeler (formerly Simulayt Advanced Fiber Modeler) will be used to analyze complex surfaces seen in the aerospace, helicopter and motorsport industries.

Course Requisites: Composites Part Manufacturing

  • This module includes the conventions and environment details for the course content.

Lesson 2: 
Introduction to Composites Manufacturing Preparation

  • In this module, you will be learn about Composite Manufacturing processes.
  • You will also learn about CPM workbench.

Lesson 3: 
Creating Composites Design Using Manual Approach

  • In this module, you will learn how to define the composites parameters.
  • You will also learn how to create, modify and analyze the plies using the manual approach.

Lesson 4: 
Creating a Manufacturing Part

  • In this module, you will learn how to create and synchronize manufacturing stacking.
  • You will also learn to swap the composites skin and define material excess.

Lesson 5: 
Reviewing Composite Entities

  • In this module, you will learn how to manage plies interactively, analyze plies and modify plies.
  • You will learn how to generate a ply table.
  • You will also learn about creating a mirrored part.

Lesson 6: 
Generating the Manufacturing Data

  • In this module, you will learn how to analyse producibility and crate a dart.
  • You will also learn to create flattened plies and multi splice.
  • You will also learn how to create Butt splice and No splice zones and add material to plies.

Lesson 7: 
Creating Manufacturing Documents

  • In this module, you will learn how to export the composite data.
  • You will also learn how to create a drawing and generate a ply book.

Lesson 8: 
Reviewing Composites Using Digital Mock-Up

  • In this module, you will review the assembly using numerical analysis, interactive ply table and perform producibility inspection.
  • You will also learn how to create core samples and export core sample results.

Lesson 9: 
Master Exercise: Create a Panel Using Manufacturing Design

  • In this module, you will create a composites panel using the Manufacturing Design tools of the Composites Design workbench.
