Insight Software for Stratasys 3D Printers

INSIGHT SOFTWARE

OPTIMIZE BUILD OUTPUT FOR 3D PRINTING

Insight software prepares your CAD program’s STL output for 3D manufacturing on a Fortus machine by automatically slicing and generating support structures and material extrusion paths. For maximum control, users can manually edit parameters that determine the look, strength, and precision of parts as well as the speed and material use of the FDM process.

  • Optimize build orientation for maximum strength and smoothest surface finish
  • Customize supports for fast, easy removal and best use of materials
  • Program pauses into the build for any reason, such as to embed hardware or circuitry
  • Manipulate tool paths for advanced control over part properties

Included with Insight is Control Center. This sophisticated software application communicates with user workstations and Fortus systems, to manage jobs and monitor production status. Design, engineering, and manufacturing teams can network and share 3D manufacturing capacity to maximize efficiency and throughput.

*Compatible with GrabCAD Print for use with job reports, scheduling, and remote monitoring.

At launch, the F3300 prints with four thermoplastics: ASA, PC (polycarbonate), FDM® Nylon 12CF and ULTEM™ 9085 resin. Soluble and breakaway support materials are available to use with these model materials.
The F3300 embodies completely new technology that allow faster printing, greater throughput and increased reliability and part quality relative to standard extrusion-based 3D printing technology.
The F3300’s time-to-part is the result of new system designs that combine to reduce the overall time and labor required to produce a printed part. Several key elements include:
• Faster gantry speed which positions the extruders
• More effective extruders capable of faster filament extrusion
• Multiple extruders that enable faster material changeover and minimize heat-up and cool-down, reducing non-printing time
• Local Z-plane extruder movement which occurs faster than moving the heavier build platen
• Automatic, hands-off, labor-free calibration
Yes, the F3300 requires 13 standard cubic feet per hour (SCFM) at 90-110psi.
There are site location and handling considerations due to the F3300’s size. The printer’s dimensions are 2073 mm (81.6 in.) wide, 1689 mm (66.5 in.) deep and 2210 mm (87 in.) tall (or 2393 mm / 94.2 in. tall with the light tower), so space considerations and accessibility are considerations. Also, there are no casters or wheels on the printer so moving the system requires a forklift capable of 3000 lbs. or greater.
Note: Crated specifications are larger as follows: weight 1724 kg (3800 lbs); width 243.8 cm (96 in.);
depth 203.2 cm (80 in.); height 254.5 cm (100.2 in.).
The build chamber is 600 mm x 600 mm x 800 mm (23.6” x 23.6” x 31.5”) which equals 0.288 cubic meters (10.16 cubic feet). Only evenly divisible slice heights can be used in the same part. For example, 0.25 and 0.50 can be used in the same part, but not 0.375 and 0.50.
