Have you ever had the edges curl up in your 3D prints? Why does this keep happening?
Typically, this happens when the plastic cools and the tension pulls the corner off of the build plate. But there is a common solution to help address this: anchor columns.
Anchors act as contact points with your base plate and help keep your part on one plane while it slowly cools in the build chamber. This is a necessity for high-temperature prints, as those plastics may warp more dramatically than standard PLA. In this video, Joseph Miller from our 3D printing team explains how he uses anchor columns in his 3D prints. He'll explain what an anchor column is, where he places them in his prints, how he removes them, and why they're among his favorite 3D printing tips.
