In this video, using Creaform’s VXmodel software, I show how to align multiple scans together, irrespective of the software’s origin. Normally, a single scan is aligned to the origin and then the Reverse Engineering process begins. Here, I show where a user may want to leave the scans in their assembly location, or just align the scans to show how the parts interact with each other.

Perhaps these scans need to be used in another software, but that software doesn’t have the means to transform the scans. In the video, one of the 3 scans acts as the fixed object while the other 2 are mobile and are aligned to the fixed object.
