3DEXPERIENCE SIMULIA - Creating a Local Coordinate System

In this video you will learn how to create a Local Coordinate system in SIMULIA ABAQUS on the 3DExperience Platform. The Global, Local, and Specify definitions are the three types of Axis systems definitions allowed in the force load command. The reason there are three options is because the Global system is very rigid and if you need to specify a load in a different direction then the Global allows you need to use the Local or Specify options. In this video we focus on the creation of the Local coordinate systems to be used in the force load command.  We will then use this local coordinate system to specify a force direction at a 45-degree angle from the XZ plane which is not possible when using just the Global coordinate system.
