In several previous videos and a blog, we discussed the idea of using acetone to vapor smooth FDM parts made of ABS in order to improve their visual quality and smooth out layer lines. In this latest video, we explore if this process had any effect on part strength. We will print several pieces to place in a tensile testing machine after treating them with acetone, and discuss the results.
