This video will show the process for how to set up a Technology Database on a network location, we will cover the process of finding your Tech DB in its default location copying to a network location and how to link to it. In this video I also show an example of the ability to link both CAMWorks and SOLIDWORKS CAM to the same database.Default CAMWorks TechDB location C:\CAMWorksData\CAMWorks20XXx64\TechDB\Techdb.cwdb. Default SOLIDWORKS CAM Tech DB location C:\ProgramData\SOLIDWORKS\SOLIDWORKS CAM 20XX\TechDB\Techdb.cwdb

3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing is easily the most dynamically advancing arena in our industry and there are new methods and materials being developed all the time. Join Richard Cromwell and Darin Grosser for an informative webinar about how to use SOLIDWORKS and the Stratasys J55 printer to set yourself up for beautiful, dynamic and functional 3D Prints. Darin starts in SOLIDWORKS applying Appearances in order to get great prints right from the CAD interface! Then Richard takes over and shows what the Stratasys J55 can really do. He will address setting up projects in GrabCAD Print along with many of the common settings one can modify to refine the output. Finally, Richard goes the extra mile to compare several post processing results based on print settings as well as what good old fashioned 'elbow grease' can accomplish with some REALLY fine sandpaper! :) Follow me on Twitter @GOwithDarin Also, follow us on Social media to get updates on what's new in the SOLIDWORKS universe!!
Today all trends are pointing to companies adopting more of a cloud-centric approach to their design and manufacturing processes. The reasons are varied but include lower IT overhead, access to almost unlimited compute power, and the ability to collaborate at anytime, anywhere, and on any device. This trend has now made its way into the design validation and simulation world with our next generation, ABAQUS-based, simulation tools from DS SOLIDWORKS. Co-presented by GoEngineer and DS SOLIDWORKS, you will learn firsthand how our approach to the simulation process creates better products faster with a lower cost. Combined with a simple and integrated workflow, you will see how SIMULIAworks delivers a powerful simulation program for SOLIDWORKS users to expand their existing simulation with a more advanced and scalable solution. Real-world examples will showcase simple buckling to extreme crushing while increasing collaboration between departments.
This video is a guide on how to transfer your CAMWorks license, transferring a CAMWorks license is a very particular process that needs to be followed to ensure that you get your license file from CAMWorks. In This video I will outline the steps you must take to transfer your license to another computer, I will then how to request a new license, and then how to install that license into your license manager. Link to CAMWOrks license transfer form: www.camworks.com/license-change/ Email for License file: register@camworks.com.
Learn different modeling methods for J-slots within SOLIDWORKS, and how to machine them properly within CAMWORKS. J Slots can often provide challenges for both modeler and machinists, but this video will quickly explain how to take the correct modeling steps to achieve your desired geometry, and what features/operations work best for cutting that geometry within CAMWORKS. Multi-Axis Mill will be our main operation for cutting these features, so this video will dive into some of the typical parameters that need to be changed to cut J Slots.
The 3DExperience Structural Professional Engineer app is a powerful simulation tool. Linking your SOLIDWORKS models to SIMULIA is an essential skill to facilitate the development of structural studies for all products that are part of the collaborative cycle. In a previous video, we showed the ideal workflow to upload a design into the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform to study with SIMULIA tools. In this video, we'll go over the proper workflow to propagate design changes in SOLIDWORKS to the platform as a new revision, how to link a revised study to the desired geometry revision and how to update the mesh and study setup to run with the improved geometry.

Learn how to create Library parts and reusable features, and store them into the design library in SOLIDWORKS. Quick Tip presented by Guy Delozier of GoEngineer.
Learn the CAD libraries including the ability to add your own libraries and some unique uses of the tool in SOLIDWORKS.
This video shows you how to use SOLIDWORKS block tolerances as a standard practice contained within your start part template. I cover where to find the different tolerance settings inside the SOLIDWORKS menu while detailing the one option I recommend using the most. I walk you through the steps to add the additional custom property to your SOLIDWORKS part template and how to link the new tolerance property name to the correct SOLIDWORKS internal database ID. I also show you a quick refresher on relating the custom tolerance properties to the appropriate area inside a drawings title block, keeping the tolerance information associative, and always up-to-date with the SOLIDWORKS part settings.
